Public Rights of Way (Footpaths and Bridleways)

Redgrave is blessed with an abundant network of Public Rights of Way (PROW) which cover much of the area surrounding the village.

Suffolk County Council (SCC) is responsible for the maintenance of these PROW and it also maintains a Definitive Map of all Redgrave PROW, a copy of which is shown here.

A list of these PROW is shown here.

The SCC website defines the rights and responsibilities of the following in order to keep the PROW accessible at all times:

  • the public,
  • local authorities and,
  • landowners and  land managers

Any problems or maintenance requirements on Redgrave PROW should be reported to the Redgrave Footpaths Officer, Andy Warnes at awarnes@btinternet.com

The current list of PROW problems reported to SCC and awaiting action is shown here

Issues can also be reported directly to SCC through the following website https://www.suffolk.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/highway-maintenance/report-a-highways-issue

A set of 6 circular walks centred on the Cross Keys Pub and using these and other local PROWs are shown on the pub’s website here
